Adopt the Patient Rights Charter, regulate rates in private hospitals NOW!

Charter of Patients’ Rights has been displayed by the Union Health Ministry for comments, and is now pending adoption since Oct. 2018. Jan Swasthya Abhiyan activists from across the country have written to the Ministry, urging adoption of this charter to protect patients rights, especially in private hospitals where large scale malpractices are rampant. At the same time, there is apprehension that the private medical lobby may try to block, delay or dilute the adoption of this charter.
