COPASAH South- Asia Facilitated Learning Exchange-2015
Context:
Community of Practitioners on Accountability and Social Action in Health (COPASAH) is a global community platformofpractitioners in the field ofhealth and human rights. The community uses tools ofcommunity monitoring for accountabilityandhealthrights. COPASAH has pursued the mission of nurturing, strengthening and promoting collective knowledge, skills and capacity of community-oriented organisations and health activists working in the field of accountability and social action in health, for promoting active citizenship to make health systems responsive, equitable and people-centered.
Following the Information Communication Technologies (ICTs) for social accountability training processes, for grassroot practitioners in January and July, 2015 in Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) and Vadodra (Gujarat) in India respectively; COPASAH South Asia has planned to take the learnings forward of these processes throughthe medium of Facilitated Learning Exchange. The COPASAH South Asia- Facilitated Learning Exchange (FLE) endeavours to take the ICT for social accountability processes forward through peer led learning strategy.
Objective
It aims to enable peer group sharing of field experiences of use of ICT in accountability work and promote the understanding of various ICT tools and strategies that can be used for grassroots advocacy.
The grassroot practitioners in different groups from different districts, across 4-5 different states would learn, exchange and share their ICT for social accountability experiences as well plan the way forward for the processes in the two days FLE’s respectively
