Approaches to implementing Community monitoring/accountability

Advocate for improved transparency and accountability in governance and management of global fund grants in Kenya by organising advocacy forums for non-KCM civil society grantees, civil society KCM (Kenya Country Mechanism) representatives and grantees to lobby to have Kenya Country Mechanism establish complaint mechanisms that allows official complaints by civil society organisations, implementing partners and other stakeholders

Results and lessons

Working together and speaking in one voice as civil society organisations is important as we have been able to engage organisations and most of the are willing to form the alliance that can monitor Global funds.
