International Center for Research for Women (ICRW)

Context

International Center for Research for Women (ICRW) conducts research related to women issues in communities and disseminate findings to the community and other stakeholders to influence policy changes. ICRW brings more than a decade of experience on research and evaluation of programs on gender, domestic violence and other social issues in the South and Southeast Asia regions through its Asia Regional Office (ARO). ICRW provides partners with a range of services, including research, technical assistance, monitoring and evaluation, strategic communications, advocacy, and capacity-building, to help design, implement, and evaluate gender-responsive policies and programs. ICRW has particular expertise in researching gendered social norms, understanding how they impact the opportunities and decisions of girls, women, boys and men in varying social, economic and cultural contexts, and using these insights to guide and inform the development of effective programs and policies. ICRW works extensively on programs and policies with and for women and youth, including adolescent sexual and reproductive health, maternal health, education, child marriage, livelihoods and violence prevention.
