Approaches to implementing Community monitoring/accountability

Community Meetings:-
  • Jatan focuses on empowering people in the community by making them informed, active citizens, who realize their value within the community.
  • Jatan organizes community meetings to focus on domestic violence, reducing the gender disparity caused by sex selection, maternal health, and the importance of women in society. These meetings give women a safe space to discuss their problems and learn from one another.

Public Hearing :-
Public hearing is another approach to work for accountability in the Community. During our maternal health programme we do awareness on Government schemes which are implementing to reduce maternal death. Apparently people are not getting benefited from these Government schemes, For the concern of this issue we do prepare evidence and case study for the Advocacy as well as conduct public hearing for the face to face interaction why the govt. Programmes are taking place in pen and paper rather of genuine work.
