Approaches to implementing Community monitoring/accountability

Our strategies to promote accountability include:
  • Mobilizing community, formation of local sangh,
  • Mobilizing verious GOs Acts, policies, orienting community,
  • Presurising for accountabality through community,
  • Involving media
  • Approching differnt enquiry commissions

Results 

  • 376 manual scavengers had been eradicated from un dignifyed occupation,
  • 167 sweepers have started alternative occupation
  • more than Rs.20.00 Lack acssesd from SCP/TSP and 22.75/- alloucation from ULB

Lessons

There is number of lessons learnt
  • 190 CHILDREN GOT SCHOLARSHIP,
  • 25 Scvenging community stydents get admission in verious Govt recidensial schools, 6 PHC, 2Thaluk hospitals, 01 District Hospital monitoring for accessing free treatment and drugs
