Approaches to implementing community monitoring/ accountability

By gathering evidence and constructive engagement there after. When this fails we also make use of media to expose the issues

Lessons and Results

The biggest lesson that we have learnt over the years is that in an environment such as Zimbabwe after gathering the evidence it's always crucial to seek audience first before engaging with media. The existence of the National AIDS Trust fund came into existence after PLHIV lobbied government in the late nineties for such a tax to assist with the HIV problem . We also managed to expose level of corruption in health institutions through some research work we did with Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Right in 2010.
